Sitting in the rain
feeling heavy raindrops on my shoulders
water soaking my hair
rain splashing on the sidewalk.
Sitting in the rain
feeling my pain ease
water washing my hurt soul
rain splashing on my wounds.
Waiting
for better
or for worse.
